As a wife, mother, grandmother, minister, missionary and speaker, Barbara would like most to be known as a woman who loves the Lord with all her mind, heart, and soul. For over five decades she has been involved in ministry, four of them non-profit Art ministry. She believes artistic expression reaches across cultural divides, communicating the hearts of artists as well as the Creator Himself.
Ken is a minister, educator, and musician with a background in political advocacy, campaign management, music theory and performance. Studying French Horn through university and private studies, he performed as a soloist, principle horn, and opened events such as the 1975 World's Fair. With over four decades of experience teaching multiple subjects, AFAN is blessed to have him.
Jubilee is an award-winning, internationally sought after artist specializing in multiple mediums such as drawing, color pencil, pen and ink, painting, and murals. A devoted artist since childhood, she brings enthusiasm and a love for art to her students as she encourages them to higher skill levels than they thought possible. She and her husband also help lead many of AFAN's overseas teams.
Luke is a passionate outdoorsman filled with energy and creativity. A lifetime student of art, music, and adventure, he has taken his skills around the world and shared them with young and old alike. A graduate of Master's School of Art, he is exceptionally gifted as an artist and teacher. He brings a level of skill and experience to the AFAN campus and missions that elevates everyone around him.
Artist, musician and award-winning filmmaker, Daniel is passionate about pushing creativity further with every endeavor. He specializes in film-making, but can also be found holed up with his sketchbook, or at his computer, composing music and creating art. With extensive tech experience, and a huge portfolio of artistic projects, he has the skills to take an idea and put it to action.
Molly studied with both MSOA and AFAN, advancing to the position of teacher in record time. Trained in visual storytelling, color theory, composition, painting, drawing, writing, traveling, and ministry through art, she has become an integral member of our campus. She specializes in watercolor painting and digital art and produces one of the most loved class environments at the school.
Jordan is a man who loves to create. A musician, artist, dancer, songwriter, and producer, he has a decade of professional training and self-taught skill powering his classes. At AFAN he creates an environment where students feel safe, seen and heard, while also encouraging a fun and educational environment. His typical schedule includes color pencil, swing dance, and music classes.
Passionate about the arts, cats, and coffee since childhood, Christina has become an accomplished fine artist. She specializes in watercolor, pencil drawing, acrylic painting, and pen and ink. As a teacher, she strives to make her students feel loved and encouraged with their development as artists, and works to sharpen their skills within the medium of whichever class she is teaching.
Heather has taught at AFAN since the beginning, and has studied art for over three decades. With a focus on drawing
and advanced watercolor classes, she brings extensive experience and a vibrant personality to AFAN. Her work has been shown extensively, winning a great deal of acclaim over the years. Every piece reflects her heart to see lives changed all over the world.
Whitney is a classically trained French Pastry Chef, avid photographer, and homeschool mom of four; she comes to Art For All Nations to share her wonderful passions through teaching. With 30 years experience in the culinary arts and as a passionate photographer and naturalist from her youth, it is Whitney’s mission to instill and inspire that passion in others, especially children.
Hanna has been training, performing, or teaching classical ballet since the age of three. Daughter of missionaries, she spent 15 years in Thailand and received training with the Thai Royal Academy of Dance and the Bolshoi Ballet of Uzbekistan. A world traveler and a mother of three, Hanna considers dance a gift from God and loves to both minister and train others up in that gift.
Ben Thornton is a young man who loves to see the handiwork of God in creation and the world around him. He enjoys travel and is in a constant state of learning new skills. Ben works as a STIHL mechanic and drawing instructor for Art For All nations. He loves to teach the skills he has learned to all ages and skill levels.
Alicia has been dancing since she was very young. With an enthusiastic focus on Hip-hop (and a background that includes Hip-hop, Contemporary, Ballet, Swing, and Waltz), she brings the joy of dance to all skill levels. In between teaching English in Korea and teaching dance with AFAN, she finds time to travel the world and bless everyone she meets with her vivacious presence.
Professionally educated seamstress, creative artist, and silly goose, Erinn is a force of nature. She has years of experience in everything from livestock care, beekeeping, and homesteading to fiber arts, fine arts, and most recently, mural work. Out of all of her skills, her work as a teacher is unsurpassed. Students leave her classes feeling accomplished, excited, encouraged, and valued.
A lover of the arts since childhood and a missionary throughout much of her life, Dana is now a highly accomplished college professor, a skilled business owner, a loving wife, and a mother of three amazing children. She specializes in charcoal, graphite, pastel, and watercolor mediums. She also plays the acoustic guitar, and enjoys teaching many of the subjects she is so gifted in.
Kimmie grew up believing that she had no artistic gifting. As an adult, she began to explore art through counseling, paint and sips, and worship. In the winter of 2020 she became a student at AFAN and quickly excelled in multiple mediums, showcasing an incredible depth of artistry. Her classroom is filled with creativity and a passion for Jesus, bringing an abundance of light to our school.
Avonlea has a strong desire to bring the beauty and joy of art to a dark world. From local art colleges to Bible college overseas, she has studied every art and ministry medium available to her. Her artistic and musical skills are an amazing addition to AFAN. She enjoys art, playing harp and piano, reading, walks with her husband, tea with friends, and international travel.
